HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN BE IN A BOAT? WHAT SIZE ARE THE BOATS?

Rowing boats, called shells, are organized by how many people they hold: 1-person, 2-person, 4-person, and 8-person. The boats are also built based on the weight range of the rowers they carry. Each boat is only about one-and-a-half-feet wide, but the outriggers that attach to each boat are almost six feet wide. The boats length and weight depends on the number of people they carry:1-person (26-28 ft / 31lbs), 2-person (32-34 ft / 59lbs), 4-person (42-44 ft / 110-114 lbs), 8-person (55-57ft / 210lbs).
